What is Pima cotton?
Grown in nutrient rich soils of Peru, Pima is a type of cotton characterised by its extra-long staple, meaning that its fibres are of extraordinary length ranging between thirty five and fifty millimetres in comparison to more common cottons ranging between twenty and twenty eight millimetres. These extraordinary long and fine fibres allow the crafting of beautifully soft and delicate fabric that is durable and resistant to pilling. As baby’s skin is very delicate, this fibre is ideal to wrap little ones in.
